MUA Lipstick Review

I recently purchased my first MUA lipstick and I just had to do a review, I actually love them. However I am an easily pleased person!
These lipsticks cost me £1, all of the MUA make-up is £1! I bought mine from Superdrug, I'm not sure where else they are available.
I had to share them with you all due to the price and the quality of them, I wasn't expecting much but they surprised me.

Shade 9

.

This is the first lipstick I bought in Shade 9. As you can probably tell from the photo I've used it!
This is a very sheer colour but I really do like it. It doesn't stand out and it's not too bright which is something I really like about the lipstick. I think this lipstick suits my skin tone, I'm pale!

It look slightly brown in the swatch above but it isn't. I don't know to describe the colour. It's sparkly though despite not being bright.

Shade 3

This is Shade 3. I bought this the other day. It's very different to Shade 9. It's a bright shade of pink. I love the colour, i think it's really nice. I'm saving this for a night out!

The lipsticks apply like lip balms which is another thing I like yet once on your lips, they are just like a normal lipstick.

The two downsides of the lipsticks are that the lipsticks are small and that they aren't long lasting. I wasn't expecting perfect from a £1 lipstick though so these little flaws don't bother me. I highly recommend these lipsticks if you loveee lip balms or if you want to save some pennies.

I'm not going to do reviews unless I really love products I buy and try but I had to do a review about these lipsticks!

Would any of you consider giving these a try? Do you own any? Thank-you for reading! x

My weekend!

Helloo! I thought I would do a little post about my weekend because it really was a good one! My exams ended Friday afternoon so everything has been amazing since then and I've had time to enjoy the sunny weather - Hence the lack of posts. I'm sorry!
Anyway on Friday I went to the Cardiff Olympic Concert, my friend won tickets so what a good way to celebrate my last exam! I'm sure everyone who follows me will know that Britain is hosting the Olympics this summer so this was the reason for the concert!
I missed the first main band, Kids In Glass Houses, due to my exam but I got there in time to see  Emeli Sande, The torch and You Me At Six!!

Look how close the lead singer of You Me At Six, Josh Francheschi, was!! I love Emeli Sande and You Me At Six. Do any of you like You Me At Six or Emeli Sande?
I'm sorry about the crap photos of Emeli and the torch. I couldnt see the stage properly due to a stupid camera man but I was right at the front! It was amazing seeing the torch, the concert was full of 16,000 people so the atmosphere was AMAZING!

On Saturday I saw the torch again, in my home town, Merthyr Tydfil! It was my father's birthday so we then went to celebrate at a beautiful beach in Swansea!

My two year old brother loved the beach and sandcastle making, I loved watching him play. We had a nice time together exploring the rock pools and collecting shells to decorate his sandy castles!

I'm sorry that this post is late. On Sunday and yesterday I had to do lots of photography work and give in my final photography exam photos yesterday! I still had fun though, I love photography and the weather has been gorgeous!!

I hope you all had a fun weekend and have a fun week, I have a feeling I will! I'm in such a positive, happy mood, Thank-you for reading!!! xx

Top Ten Favourite Things

Today I thought I would do a post on my top ten favourite things. I got inspired to do this from the video which Louise, Sprinkleofglitter, did with her sister which you can click here to go watch! I'm not going to do my favourite things from this year until December so I'm just going to do my top ten favourite things that I own!

1. Amy
This is a doll, which I named Amy, that I have had since I was two years old. She used to be my favourite toy as a young child. Now she live's on a shelf in my bedroom with all my other old, childhood toys. This means that I have had her for 15 years, nearly sixteen. Here is a picture of me with her when I was around 2/3.

2. Camera

I  absoloutely love my camera. It was a birthday present I received last year from my parent's. I don't have an actual picture of it as I use it to take all of my pictures but here's a picture someone else took of me using it in prom.

3. My Leather Jacket.
I always wear my leather jacket. I bought it in the January sales straight after Christmas, from New Look, for £18. Bargain! I pondered over buying it for ages but now I'm really glad that I bought it. I wear it constantly and I think that it goes with everything I wear. I cropped a random friend out so that's why there is a random blue leg in the picture.

4. My Rubber Collection.

A few years ago I started a rubber collection, I have collected rubbers from many places I've been too. This stopped a few years ago. I don't know why, I've just abandoned my rubber filled box so I'm going to have to restart when I go to lots of lovely places, which sell rubbers, this summer.

5. My Mask

I made this mask at the Mardi Gras festival last year in September. I'm not gay at all but I went with a big group of friend's and had a really fun day. This mask brings back so many memories of the great day. It's now stuck on my bedroom wall!

6. Dragonfly Necklace

This is a necklace that my grandparents gave me from their trip to America last year. I have never been abroad so this was a really nice gift. It's also special because it's from my grandparents. I love the little dragonfly!
I love the purple thread it's on too.

7. Lola by Marc Jacobs

My best friend Abbie gave me this tiny, cute bottle of "Lola" by Marc Jacobs because she knew I couldn't afford a massive bottle of it. I absolutely love this perfume, it smells lush!

I made Abbie make a blog because I know she'll love it. She's only done one post so far as her laptop is broken but give her time and they'll be plenty more. Please check out her very new blog and give her a follow. She will follow back, she needs blogs to follow. Once she receives a new laptop in a few weeks she'll be blogging alot more! You can find her blog here.

8. Make-Up Bag.

This make-up bag is definitely a favourite of mine. It's very unique and I've owned it since I was 13 years old. I picked it out on my 13th birthday when my grandmother showed it her favourite shop. It is made from recycled juice cartons which I think it really clever. I always get asked about it, I wish they were more well known!

9.  Prom Dress.

I adore my prom dress. It was the perfect style and colour for me. It was amazing. Prom was also one of the best night's of my life. I actually bought my dress TWO days before my prom, I picked it up from Outfit in the sale for £20, it was the only dress I liked! It was reduced from around £40/£50 so it was a bargain find!

10. Memory Box.
My memory box is full of things such as pictures, letters, leaflets, which remind me of things that have happened in my life - memories.  It is very special to me and contains things that I will treasure forever.

Thank-you for reading this post. Have any of you done a similar post? Are any items that are your favourites similar to any of mine? xx

Photography Coursework Pictures.

Today is a life post. I thought I would show you all my photography coursework pictures. Photography is one of my favourote hobbies, the second being baking. I love the idea of "making art" through a camera and capturing beautiful moments or things.
Last september I started my photography As level course as I was itching to learn more camera skills and  techniques whilst acheiveing a an As/A level by doing one of my most favourite things.
My coursework theme was "places in time" so I decided to mainly focus on decay as there are a large amount of old building and areas in my local town in South Wales. Here are my final pictures-

Personally the picture of the castle (Cyfarthfa Castle) and the "No Parking" sign are my favourite images.
I hope that this post interested some of you. My exam theme is "People and their possessions" so maybe I'll show you those pictures too when I have took them.
Next year I pick my own coursework theme to I'm excited to visit loads of animal filled places this summer such as Bristol zoo as I've always wanted to do a bit of animal photography!

Thankyou for reading, I hope you all had a great weekend. xx

Small beauty/skincare haul.

Hellooo, I hope you are all well! :)
Yesterday, after a week of stressful, annoying exams I decided to have a wonder around my local town centre and treat myself to a few new make-up bits. I bought and found alot more than I was expecting too. I went to Superdrug to try and buy the new Sleek eyeshadow palette but unfortunately my local Superdrug doesn't sell Sleek prouducts, not good!

I bought all six things for under £10!

I bought the five products above from Superdrug. Superdrug are currently doing a 3 for 2 offer on all make-up.

I bought two MUA products which are only £1 because I wanted to try them out and I bought another BarryM nail varnish in the shade "mushroom". It's actually darker than in the picture, the terrible quality of the photo has made it look lighter. The nail varnish cost £2.99. Due to the offer I only paid £4.

As I was leaving Superdrug I spotted this deodorant spray and vaseline moisturiser. I bought the deodrant because I was running out of my current one. I bought the moisturiser because I've had a cold for the past week and some of my skin has gone dry, I don't know if the cold is too blame but I had to get my skin back to normal!!
"Light feeling lotion" instantly caught my attention, I didn't want a thick heavy cream.
I cant remember the exact prices of the products and I'm not an organised person, my receipt is lost already! But these two products, together, cost just under £3.

I then went to Tesco to buy some lunch and decided to check if this eyeshadow palette was in stock. It was! HURRAY! I've wanted to try this one for ages, it only costs £2.50.

I will review all the products over the next two weeks except the deodorant and let you all know what I thought about them and go into more detailed. I've started using the moisturiser and I currently have "mushroom" coloured nails, very happy with those two products! Tesco is also currently doing a 3 for 2 deal on make-up and skincare and another 3 for 2 deal on all hair products!
I'm sorry about the terrible quality of the photos, especially the eyeshadow one. The lighting was bad when I took them and I cant find any good photo editing websites - any suggestions please?!

I hope you all enjoyed this post. xx
